What size tires do you plan to run.

Do you have a time frame as to when your first race will be. I'd like to come down and look it over. Sound like an interesting project.

I have a friend who raced class 8 and decided on building a new class 8. The economy kind of put it on the shelf (he runs a plumbing business) but he's back at and maybe next year he'll race it.

If you run a 32" tire, your gearing won't be too tall, and your parts will withstand the inevitable Baja beating that comes with the territory. Maybe that will allow you to run your stock differentials. Good luck!

Why a four wheel drive if you are racing this truck? There can't be very many Class 7 or any racing trucks with 4WD, are there?

If there is a class that is only 4WD (Class 3?) that you can compete in, great! I do love 4WD... but that is for slower driving... to save the parts and crawl over tough stuff.

Tell me more Glenn, please!

Sweet... Speaking of Ivan... Maybe have the fellow's at Stewart's Raceworks go over it to make sure it is a solid as possible?

Our son Josh is one of them!:light:

Oh no, I understand... I admire you and this project... very much. I know you have wanted to do it since almost as long as I have known you (12-13 years)!

If you get a corporate sponsor... or win the lotto, then have Raceworks give it a once over... Many small teams actually use the shop, not all are big bucks.

Great news Glenn. Maybe taking a look at the trucks in Nov will provide some ideas. (Not the big budget trucks, the ones at the end of the line so to speak)

Hope to see you soon

Kevin may run the 1000 with a quad team from Santa Rosalia and Guerrero Negro if He can take the time off from school. We are prepping the KTM for a run in the 250 next March.

Hey, you are getting pretty close to ssn time.Don't matter.Obama is going to tax you 1% a whole lot more.
applied. The entire congress is going to tax me more (Obama does not pass tax laws)...and since I am in the 53% that pay taxes, that hurts.
