Rene's Open Again 10am to 2am Every Day!

Stopped in at Rene's which most people know is just as you are leaving Rosarito heading south on free road and it looks great inside. The pool tables are there which is great memories for me as I use to take my boys in there in the late 80s to play pool and watch sports. Very good job done on the update and people should check it out again if you haven't already. I was told by the bartender that family members open it again, the old owner's nephew is apparently the real person that got it up and going again. It is great to see this place open again and hope it does well as it did in the past. Take Care & Travel Safe----"No Hurry, No Worry, Just FUN" bajafun777

Javi's is very nice too and of course closer to where I am at Las Gaviotas. Drinks are quick and good, along with Jessie the c-cktail waitress who is quick to serve you and easy to talk with. This is also another great business that just opened a couple of months ago.

A little tricky getting into off the roadway at night so be careful pulling off the free road onto the drive way entrance. Take Care & Travel Safe -------"No Hurry, No Worry, Just FUN" bajafun777

Hey next time in Javi`s Tiki Bar, check the old surf boards hanging by the bar. The one that says K-38, Santa Martha, Baja Calif is my old board. Herbie wanted an old Gordie board I have, but when he wouldn`t give me my demand (beer for life), I brought that one down to retire in the rafters at the bar.

Did they put a TV on the floor at the end of the bar so the regulars will be able to watch the games? :tumble:
