Mag Bay Report 9/29/12 - catch and release wahoo

Operating on a day old weather report and oblivious of Cyclone Norman I fished outside Mag Bay today for wahoo. I saw not another boat all day either in the estero or on the Pacific. It was an easy trip out, but Boca de Soledad was kicking up on the way back in.
Apparently the wahoo didn't get the memo either because they were on site and hungry. I had my limit before 9:00 and released five more before packing it in at noon.
The biggest fish weighed 53#. two more around 40, and the rest smaller.
The road between Insurgentes and Lopez Mateos is in the the best shape I've seen it this time of year.
This fish hit before sun-up:

This was the big fish of the day, a fat 53 pounder.

Shouldn\'t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check or Sec.8 housing?
........... I had to pass one to earn it for them!

msteve.....I didn't see any tuna today. When I was out Sunday, a week ago tomorrow, the first two hits on wahoo lures early were yellowfin. I got one small one in the boat. Later in the day when I was looking for tuna there were none to be found.
