That reminds me, I used to dig for ammonites when I was kid, near an old abandonned iron mine.
We were a crew of 5 kids, and went exploring the mine one day, went as far as 1 mile in, with candles. We repeated the trip 'til some guy tried to extract a huge ammonite from the entrance's ceiling, and the whole thing collapsed, so no more mine, but those were good times.... adventure times.....:bounce:

Of course I now must add the political correct note that Non-Mexicans are not allowed to take fossils (or sea shells)... unless they were purchased or a gift from a Mexican.

Diggers Delight...

Our quest for the elusive Ammonite,
Lead us near the land of the Mennonite.
With pick and shovel we hacked away,
Blistering fingers in a very bad way,
Till we started 'digging' with dynamite!

According to my clock...anytime is \'BAJA TIME\' & as Jimmy Buffett says,
\"It doesn\'t use numbers or moving hands It always just says now...\"
