Mex 5

I have family heading south to Mulege. Any one been across from Gonzaga to Mex 1 at Laguna Chapala. There was water in the south end of the lake when we came through last week but was wondering how the road through Coco's corner was.

Don't know how much rain they got there, but my last time through was a breeze. I think it would be fine. Anyone been through recently?

The road is very bad right now. 2 1/2 weeks ago they saw a lot of rain and I went through 5 days ago and their were 6 massive 10 foot deep holes caving in the road. We had two trucks suffer flats and we were all 15-20 mph slow slow into Coco's...Now with the pre run and race traffic for the Baja 1000, its not going to get any better anytime soon...I travel that road all the time and its the worst I've seen it in many many years...sorry for the bad news.

BTW we were traveling from Chapala Hwy 1 into Gonzaga northbound.

Tim
