When we ate at Villa Ortega's last month, the lobster order choices were either a "large" or "very large" lobster, both of which could have fed 3-4
people. The other choice was ordering an "order of small lobsters", of which you received six lobsters for two people.
We opted for the "large" lobster, of which we almost had some leftover to take home. It was fairly big and the tab came to $45.00 U.S and included two
margaritas each.

As a customer, do your part, don't accept the offer of 2 or 3 bugs for an order. Order the medium or large offering. In my experience the mediums
are usually undersized as well.
Know when the lobster season is open and realize in off season you are eating frozen or imported product.

I will have to wait a few more weeks, a little longer drive than you Udo. My tradition is to stop on the way back for that last mexican meal, and my 2
boys have decided they love lobster! They really don't understand why I don't let them get it here in CO

I tagged along on a weekend trip to Las Gaviotis
beach houses, about 1 mi. no. of Puerto Nuevo
a couple months back, full of Orange County
types, talked to a guy who purchased 20 lobsters
at Puerto Nuevo to cook at the house he rented,
20 lobsters for $40, he said they were undersized
