The Loreto Historical Society

For the BajaSur Nomads...

On Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m., The Loreto Historical Society is sponsoring a lecture, "Loreto, Gateway to Alta California, The Expedition to San Diego, 1769" based on the book of the same name by Harry Crosby. The lecture will be held at the Caballo Blanco bookstore, and is open to the public. All are invited to come and learn about the critical role that Loreto and its people played in the establishment of what we now know as American California. There will be snacks and some beverages served.

Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
