CLASSES:
The 2012 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 Desert Race features over 300 entries in 35 Pro & 6 Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs. Class winners will be decided as well as overall race winners in Pro 4-wheel, Pro Motorcycle & Pro ATV.

Interesting that of the fourteen (14) motorcycles and ATV classes twelve (12) can run a 450cc 4 stroke engine. The manufactures 450cc engines is actually 449cc but SCORE allows it in both the over and under classes. I'm not familar with the Sportsman UTV class so it too may allow a 450cc engine.

I was surprised at the change from the original class moto sizes, I think they were : 22= Unlimited, 21= 250cc, 20= under 250cc (125cc mostly)?

Seems nobody racing the small engine bikes for fun anymore?
