Thanks, Shari! With a feeder out, it's a bit like shooting fish in a barrel! They chase each other away from one sipping spot, although there are 4 to
choose from. It's a wonderful no-wind diversion.
Happy Sunday,

nice! i can't seem to attract too many to our feeder. there are a couple (i notice the size difference) but i guess the migration hasn't come this way
yet and these are locals.

I can't wait to put up my own hummingbird feeder once I'm moved to Baja.

Hi - here's the standard recipe plus some other helpful prep information:
Nectar Recipe
As for the 4-wheeled species, well, I suspect you'd need a still to achieve a higher octane.

These images are amazing! Tell us about your camera....

Great shots!
Many years ago I was doing a bighorn sheep count for Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and was stationed on a mountainside overlooking a watering hole.
For shade, I took a beach umbrella.
It was not exactly camouflage, it was very colorful and it attracted every hummingbird in the canyon. To them it must have looked like the biggest
dang flower EVER.
After they would unsuccessfully try to feed from it , a couple of them actually looked disgusted at having been “fooled”. That went on all day.
Mom always told me to be different - Now she says...Not THAT different
