Lobster in San Jose Del Cabo?

My sister and her husband are going to be travelling with us in Dec/Jan and she told me there was an excellent restaurant that serves lobster, big lobsters at a reasonable price, sadly she doesn't remember the name of the place or where it is:no:
Anybody know of a good seafood restaurant in San Jose that may fit that vague description?

I could be wrong but I believe that the Tropicana is the only place serving live lobster and I doubt they are cheap.
What is the time frame for your sister's experience?
There WAS Benny's. On the highway, all outdoors...cheap lobster, but he has been gone 10 years.
I think that La Puerta Vieja still serves a cheap lobster but that is almost to San Lucas.

It was probably 5-6 years ago, I guess cheap can be defined by the person paying, even expensive in Baja when it comes to lobster is cheap compared to Oregon. If I remember correctly she said $30 or so. Actually we haven't spent much time in San Jose so any recommendations on GOOD seafood restaurants would be appreciated.

Except for the resorts. The seafood restraurant (forgot name) at the Royal Solaris has great live lobster priced by the size.

Wow Judy, Benny's. That takes me back. Benny Ha Ha de Baja!

Tropicana is probably a good call. Downtown where the after dinner walking is nicest, good live music and pretty consistent food. I have no idea what they charge for the lobster swimming in the tank.

No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

How is the Villa Serena just east of Cabo?

It is not in San Jose, but directly across the street from Home Depot is Villa Sierna

The hotel Mar De Cortez serves large-sized lobsters at less than Puert Nuevo prices...especially on Mondays when they have a surf-n-turf special...lobster & fillet mignon for $15.95 U.S.
