Best resource for border wait info?

What is (or are) your favorite resource to learn what the estimated border wait is at for any port of entry back into the USA from (or near) Baja California?

I know one person in Tijuana that likes to call to find out the line-length (# of cars) at San Ysidro and/or Otay. I'm uncertain if this is available in Tecate, Mexicali, Algodones, or even San Luis Colorado.

I have USA phone #'s for San Ysidro and Otay Mesa that report the CBP figures when they're updated. You can also find this information online here:

http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/

More direct/specific links here would be:

San Ysidro:

Otay Mesa:
http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/display_rss_port.asp?port=250601

Tecate:
http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/display_rss_port.asp?port=250501

Calexico East:
http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/display_rss_port.asp?port=250301
Calexico West
http://apps.cbp.gov/bwt/display_rss_port.asp?port=250302

Andrade (Algodones):

San Luis:

Last night, we arrived in Tijuana around 7:30pm - and the San Ysidro lines looked like they would easily take 3-4 hours to cross. So, we went to Starbucks in Zona Rio, sat and had a cup of coffee, and checked out the info online... and found out that while the wait time estimated at SY was over 2 hours, that the wait at Otay was more like 5-15 minutes. After finishing the coffee, we headed to Otay, and had a whole 5 minute wait. Sweet!

I also downloaded an excellent smartphone app published by UCSD that updates this info as well, along with making available the history for each time of each day:
http://traffic.calit2.net/border/mobile.php

I do recommend this app for Android and iOS users.

Ucsd app

Downloaded the app a couple weeks back
They have a great chart that gives historic data, helpful to some degree for planning.
UCSD app will be great as it catches on with more uses because it depends on current info that people enter. Only hitch is you have to enter data while very close to border, doesn' t help it traveling solo unless you want to risk ticket.

See bar along top of page. Seems to be correct when I've checked in the past.

I cross often at San Ysidro and Otay and never found any of these apps/websites which are accurate. So I allow an additional 30 minutes to either to be safe. A BP agent told me those border wait times are based on asking commuters how long they had to wait. I don't find the San Diego Red online any more accurate than other sites.
