My wife and I are traveling down to gn for a whale watching tour with shari. My wife would be more comfortable with other people on the travel south.
We are very flexable on our travel. We would be crossing the border approx on march 2 and take two days to gn, maybe a stop in san quintin then on to
gn, again very flexable, just tryin to not to get raped, robbed , mugged, sodomized with a forein object, and then told i didnt stop at the stop sign.
Anyone traveling south at this time would be greatly appreciated. We are pulling a toy hauler and camping along the way.

I'll probably be there by then, maybe, but one problem I see with your post is that you are getting really specific, like "approx on march 2". Not
"sometime this spring maybe we will...".
I find that after I have everything in the vehicle but the computer that's the time to say "O.K. I'm otta here. If anybody wants to go I'll be at the
Chula Vista Costco parking lot in a couple of hours."
Throw the computer in and split, you'll run into others on your way, not a problem. Just wave at someone southbound with a toy hauler also and you'll
hook-up.
Also I don't stop on the way, I get to GN then relax, it's about ten or 11 hours with my driving habits if I do the Pacific side. Could take weeks if
I do the other side, depends on a lot of things.

Please let your wife know that traveling through Los Angeles is far more dangerous! Going with others is fun, but if no connection is made, don't be
afraid. Rule of thumb, anywhere: don't drive at night, lock doors when you park, camp either in a secure campground/ RV Park or far from the highway,
top the gas tank in El Rosario southbound, and Guerrero Negro northbound.

There are several gas stations in Guerrero Negro and the one at the Eagle Monument (state border), right? So let us know where you had an issue. There
is a Pemex some 20 miles north at Villa Jesus Maria, but if it is closed then you have only the independent dealers for the next 200 miles or go 40
miles east to Bahia de los Angeles for a Pemex station.
The independent dealers are a lifesaver to many, but you will compensate them at a dollar or more per gallon over the Pemex price, for their trouble:
Catavińa, Laguna Chapala, Parador Punta Prieta (L.A. Bay junction).

Yes it was at the monument. Did not know if I could make Jesus/Maria. Should have fueled at Viz coming out but was in a hurry.
Shari and Juans to Pacific Beach 13 hours in an E-250 and I am a pretty conservative driver.

Dirtbiker, you sound too paranoid. Absolutley crazy. If you have that attitude perhaps you should stay home and lock the doors, put the toys away and
sit in front of your bigscreen and watch Baja videos from the comfort of your home.

Occurred to me something that may give her some security feelings and is a great piece of gear.
I try not to do much of anything and consequently I find myself doing not much of anything in a whole lot of places that I have not ever been to
before. Used to scare me, but, no more because now I have:

Here's the deal. I'm deaf, or as close to absolute but still correctable as you can get and I love them but do not want the responsibility of a dog to
listen for me while I sleep, so, I was somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard several years ago talking to a deaf trucker (fun to watch those kind of
conversations) and telling him about how I can't hear an alarm clock (four hours at a rest stop then ticket) so I needed help and he told me about
"The Screaming Meanie" and I got it.
Get the 220.
I hear this sucker and it has safety alert features that will scare the .... out of anyone who comes in the van and it takes specialized knowledge to
shut-off.
I use medium as an alarm clock but if I am in an area of danger I carry it on it's belt clip set to 120 db and two presses of a certain button sets it
off and I am the only one who can shut it off. If they take it away from you they cannot shut it off and I think it's bullet and bomb-proof also, must
be to live in my van.
Will bring attention to you, guaranteed. She will like it and it is a very durable (mines eight or ten years old in constant use) and useful
appliance.
Don't know when I'm getting out of here. Just got word an hour ago that my oldest is coming in from Europe so do want to spend time with him. If I am
taking off anytime around your leave date you can follow me down, if not just go, you should have no problems.
You sure won't have as many problems as NOB and with your trusty "Screaming Meanie 220" your safety is assured.
Googled it for the first time since I bought it to write this and these are the people I bought it from, they were a good experience. Read about it,
check ALL the features.
Probably see you at Juan and Shari's.

I will be heading southbound out of Ensenada area Friday, March 1st, to do the whale tour with Shari as well. Maybe we will all see each other on the
road. I will be in a silver Honda Civic. I'm a loner, rebel and I like to drive fast, otherwise I would join the caravan.
