Traveling in Baja or Sonora with a small pet

What are the chances of finding lodgings that accept small pets?

We were thinking of a trip to Puerto Penasco [we know it's in Sonora] and can't find a thing online for pets.

Later on, perhaps next year, we will be considering buying property in Mexico and want to find pet-friendly lodging there.

Hi Sargento Diaz

This link will get you started.

In Puerto Penasco: http://www.bringfido.com/lodging/city/puerto_penasco_mx/

Please keep in mind that you should have a vet's certificate of health signed no longer that fourteen days before you cross the border. It is the law. which some would argue is never enforced, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Best of luck and happy traveling.

GJ

apparently these 2 hotels are pet friendly (scroll down and you will see pets "checked" off as a criterion.

You folks are awesome! Can't thank you enough.

For any of you interested in visiting Mazatlan with a pet, I highly recommend El Sombrero Hotel & Suites. Their website is: http://www.viajesamazatlan.com/ [Espanol]
