Thanks willardguy. I now have some options. Thanks.

There are wonderful mold and pet free hotels in Mexico and I have stayed in many. Sometimes things change so it's good to get up to date info.

I appreciate the info.

La Mision is good... secure parking... good restaurant (for breakfast for sure)... clean rooms and NO PETS ALLOWED... the last time we were there.

Thanks again Nomads, great to have friends in narrow, long places....like Baja!

I am ensconced in the Hotel Cortez. I found it on TripAdvisor....could register online without any deposit, no cancellation policy.

The hotel is well situated to downtown and has what appears to be a wing of new rooms, non smoking, no pets, no mold, quiet and the room is very dark at night. Perfect spot and the price is very reasonable. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Thanks again amigos.

A good choice, Ifyfish. I recall staying there in the 1980's original wing. The motel was quite comfortable with secure parking for my rig and boat... plus an easy walking distance to lots of shops.

I know I have an old photo of that motel, the sign, and my vehicle and boat in the parking lot... but with the new Photobucket it may be lost forever in that maze of photos! gripe, gripe, gripe

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
