Kitchen Conversions
Happy Easter Nomads!
I found an excellent conversion chart for the kitchen and I have it posted on my website http://www.bigandchunkybakery.com/recipes-and-tips/
It has come in very handy for me and I thought I'd share it with you all.

The formula shown for converting degrees F to degrees C is not F -32 +1.8 = degrees C. It sould read F-32 divided by 1.8 = degrees
C. The reson that 1.8 is used is because water freezes at 32 degrees F and boils at 212F and 212 - 32 = 180 difference. Likewise it freezes at 0
degrees C and boils at 100 degrees C and 100 - 0 = 100 difference. The ratio of degrees F (180 differential) divided by degrees C (100 differential) =
1.8.

the link posted on your web site http://www.bigandchunkybakery.com/recipes-and-tips/
directs you to: http://www.everest.co.uk/kitchens/
for a printable copy. A search of that site for the kitchen cheat sheet does not produce any results.

Hey, great chart! When I look at it, the formula does show "divided by" , maybe it's been changed. The only comment I would make is that the "F -
32" and "1.8 X C" should be in brackets so that operation is done first. Otherwise it's fine.

The link to the printable tables is working now. There are 3 different parts so you can just get what you need.
Thanks ncampion!

I was looking at the little box just below the "Weights Table" and it definitely reads:
"°F - 32 + 1.8 = °C"
and should be changed to:
"°F - °32F / 1.8 = °C".
