Baja Album '67-'99

I added a couple... there are some off road racing pics including a couple from the Parker 400... I have Parnelli Jones, Mickey Thompson and Ivan Stewart from years ago. Otherwise, these are a selection starting from when I was 10 years old: http://community-2.webtv.net/baja4me/album

Great photos David. So for about 10 or 11 years you did not travel to Baja... from, let's say, 1988 to 1999? Wow, hard to believe that.
Thanks for the photos.

Hi Bob, it gets a little complicated and as you can imagine, it takes a lot to keep me from Baja!
---------------------------------
THE LOST YEARS......

Well, my new wife and I traveled to Baja a lot until babies were born 3.5 years after we were married (Dec.'88 and Jul.'90). We went camping south of San Felipe again when they were toddlers '91 & '92... then life decided to get hard on me... 'stuff happens'. (change the word 'stuff')

I took wife #2 to Nuevo Mazatlan once before we moved to Fresno for a miserable 2+ years (9/94-1/97). Why Fresno? Well, that's were the drip irrigation manufactorer was located that wanted me as their technical services manager. I was working for an irrigation & plumbing distrbutor for 8 years prior.

Back in San Diego County in '97 (thank God) and I soon started my own irrigation company, which I run to this day. We got a computer in '98, I discovered Baja on-line, and I was on the road to recovery!

I returned to Baja with amigo Baja Mur in May, '99 on that fantastic trip to Mision Santa Maria, Gonzaga Bay, and then I flew back here from Alfonsina's with Doug Bowles. http://vivabaja.com/missionsm

Wife #2 and I parted soon after, she took the computer and I picked up this WebTV (11/99)... I used the handle DrDrip (as in Drip Irrigation specialist) for my email. I started a Baja chat room, made a web site, met more Baja people including Tim Walker of TimsBaja.com, created the Viva Baja get-togethers so more Baja people could meet and become friends, in person. With El Camote, we had the first group campout and caravan (Matomi 2001)... and the rest you know!

Hi Bruce,
It is an irrigation (drip and sprinklers) consultation, installation, repair, design service I operate out of my home and truck. David **** Irrigation Service. I also install outdoor lighting, new lawns, and drains.

It usually pays the bills and feeds me and the kids.. oh, and a little extra on occaision takes us to Baja.
