Baja Sur is a special place-


we Nomads know that, of course. The bird in this photo is closely related to the Common Yellowthroat which is "common" in some areas. This is a Belding's Yellowthroat, lacks the white stripe on it's forehead. For the Belding's Yellowthroats, the estuaries and lagoons of the East Cape and San Jose del Cabo are their last stronghold of existence. Beautiful bird; shy, reclusive and a great indicator species of things to come.
We were fortunate to have our grandson, Christian, visit us for a little bit and he saw one. Someday, he'll tell his kids or grandkids, "I saw one of those with my grandpa!".
