WE HAVE FINALLY DONE IT...BECAME PROPERTY OWNERS IN BAJA AND WE BOUGHT A HOUSE IN BAHIA ASUNCION!

Yes, Jana and purchased Laurie and Jim Farley's house in Bahia Asunción.
We have been to their house several times and totally fell in love with their beach and Jimmy Buffett's decor.
The house has two bedrooms and two baths, a beachfront lot, and lots of room to grow.
We plan on driving down in late June and early July to do some minor house maintenance, and drop off some gourmet kitchen tools.
Renters will have available a coffee grinder and also an espresso machine, as well as other electric appliances. We plan on dropping off a trash compactor so that trash will be compacted to 20% of it's original volume (BA's trash pick up is at times late).
The sunrise and sunset views are unbelievable!
Future expansion plans include adding a dining room, an indoor solarium, a larger sized bedroom, an outdoor shower, and the party room will be an upstairs palapa-covered patio.
We are planning on adding DIRECTV, but the dishes seem to disintegrate with the ocean breeze, and perhaps a ROKU box will be available at optional cost.
Rental prices will remain the same as the Farley's used to charge, except for the ROKU box at additional cost.

You may call us or e-mail if you wish to rent it for a specific time. Nomad U2U works also.

Please e-mail for a copy of a renter's form.

Good for you and Jana, Udo. Now you can shed that tourist label and call yourselves locals. :bounce:

Oops, I think I'm already in trouble with the new owner. In my anxiety to be on the road, I don't remember cleaning-up my oil spill from your back yard. I look forward to making it up to you.

I love that house, and can STRONGLY recommend it as a rental.
Congratulations

Even in the lee of the garage, it was still a workshop of windblown sand!

I think the drifting sand covered up the oil by now, vgabndo, and if not, I don't think they have an AQMD of EPA in the area.

I don't think I would have done anything differently.
Heck, I used to dump the used engine oil in my back yard in the mountains, until I got wind of environmental laws.

When I worked in Alaska on fishing boats, the captain would tell us to throw the used oil from the vessel oil change over board, once the sun went down. I never did it, but my friend did. =) Wouldn't do it now though.

CONGRATS Udo on the purchase! This is one thread everyone can get on board with!!! I hope to buy someday as well. Stoked for you.

HEY UDO!

I have a free DirecTV sat dish here waiting for you. I now have Charter Cable, and have no use for the DirecTV dish and plan to unbolt it from my roof. I'll be in Long Beach this weekend - Leidys and I can stop on our way to the LBC if you give us a location.
