Beer in Tecate
Last few times I drove through Tecate I had trouble finding a place that sells cans of Pacifico or Sol...mostly, well as expected, Tecate which I
don't tolerate. Any suggestions on a place that always has the two in stock? Thanks.

There is a Super Ley on the right side just south of town (heading south) that I would be very surprised if they didn't have what you need. Pass the
tracks and the ball field then look off to the right.

Can't answer that one, but years ago, I bought a sixpak of Tecate in a liquor store in Tecate and I asked the guy behind the counter why it cost more
there than in Ensenada?
He said, "It's fresher."
Gotta luv it.

Like going to Hershey Pennsylvania and searching for a Nestle chocolate bar, or asking for Chateau Mouton Rothschild in St. Helena, California.

cymeryss,
Shake yourself man. It is 2 blocks out of your way.
Calimax has it. But it will be as much a hassle to park at Calimax and get in and out as going the 2 blocks south to Ley. Hit an OXXO just east of
Tecate and avoid the whole thing...
and dont drink and drive.

Really?? It's a no-brainer for me.
Tecate has changed the formula from thirty years back. That stuff was painful.

Pain?
You want pain, mon?
San Miguel from the Philippines!
The peoplesguidetomexico.com website has an article talking about Mexico City microbreweries.
ALL high production BEER all cerveza has changed in the last thirty years. It has become a wraith of its former being. More water, more fizz. How can
I be sure they do not "jolt" watered down high production beer with pure ethanol to maintain enough "buzz" to call the stuff beer? Even "Gallo" from
Guatemala is a shadow of what it once was. Cabra disappeared.
Talk about SOYLENT GREEN!

Try Tecate Lite
I was very happy that the new Tecate after taste was not found in Tecate Lite. I enjoy Pacifico and Dos Equis Lager Especial... but Tecate Lite was a
good desert thirst quencher. Also, in Tecate is now brewed Mexicali Beer so if you can find that, try it!

That's a reborn beer too. It was one of the few available fifty or so years ago.
