People in Bahia Asuncion- no more password

For us, the most important part of Bahia Asuncion is the people. Under doctor's orders to take it easy for a few days, I decided to put together a slideshow from just a few of our people pictures from the last few years. For anyone who is curious....

Here it is, and I suggest you play it on fast as few is a relative term.

http://s19.photobucket.com/user/jdtrotter/slideshow/People

It is back---no password now. There is more that could have been done, but it is done for now and if it is shared, that is now okay. There are more pictures than before and these represent just a tiny amount of our wonderful memories.

I hope they get to see your great work.

It's inspiration for my trip south. I'm hoping to do something similar, if I can get out of my comfort zone.

THANK YOU all for the nice comments --- it is all about the people.

Udo, you might not recognize some of these kids around town as many of them have grown A LOT.

Frank, one of the the things we have done over the years is make cds of events and print photos and give them to the people --- all in the original color, however. It is amazing to us that some people expect to pay for the prints --- not a chance after what all they do for us.

Again, I am very happy that some of you enjoyed these few pictures --- good thing I stopped when I did!

On edit -- if anyone can explain to the computer challenged, me, how and where I can do something like this and put it to music, please, U2U. THANKS.

Diana, a village is the people and you have captured them in all their raw and rustic humanity in the most artistic and unobtrusive way. Your eye, your camera found a way to see and feel the sweat and giggles. Few could work the magic.

Hope you'll preserve the show as a tribute to the place, the time, the hard working folks who love the desert and the sea.

very good stuff Diane. Worthy of a published coffee table book. What did you use? not color - not B&W - has a sepia tone. Never seen anything like it. Are you a pro camera person?

Diane,

There is an awful lot of living captured in your photos. I need to go back and only look at one at a time, everyone of them wants to tell me a story. What a beautiful representation of your community. You've captured emotions rarely seen in print. Thank you! I hope to one day visit in person and let my own eyes take it all in.

Thanks DT...I was surprised at the number of folks I saw that I've already met in my short association with that community.

Good eye!
