I had a very bad experience there. Late at night...guy wouldn't take anything less than $100. I left. And he would not take animals...the pet kind.

They now love the SQ hotels even though they have never frequented them!

That's the only one out there I'm aware of, Bob. Must be one and the same.

You may have better luck finding a pet friendly place in Ensenada. Most everything else out in the valley is B+B and I doubt many of those places are pet friendly.
Then again, I'd never heard of La Cava either.
Good luck.

Here ya go, Fatima hotel

http://www.hotelplazafatima.com/english/

I have stayed there 3 or 4 times and no problem with the pooch. It is around $45, very basic rooms, clean, friendly but nothing to write home about. Great pizza place next door but only open 3 or 4 nights a week.

English speaking staff and AROUND 5 miles from the wine country, between Ensenada and the town of "Guadalupe." There is a "fancy" coffee shop around 3-5 miles towards Ensenada, on the South side that sells a great red wine for 130 pesos with no label.

This must be the same place we've been talking abut calling it La Cava, which looks like the wine room or whatever's happening there.
