Fish ID help
Catching a lot of these along the shore now on squid chunks. Can't seem to find em on Mexfish or in my books. Need ID help.

I coulda given you a little more help. When they are chased, they fly well above the surface of the water for a very long way.

It's a tocino mullet, invasive species but prized for it's belly meat.

I reserve my trolling for the OT forum which I guess is technically the shore. Lately I have been using Toneart's saxophone for bait but have not
managed to catch a world's record. Maybe I'll switch my bait to something more appropriate for the bottom feeders over there.

Just read something on this subject ('My Inner Fish'). Apparently if you turn some genes on and others off during early development you may be able to
construct such a frankenstein monster. Question is, do you start out with a fish or with a pig. Could be a very worthwhile project, though. You get
Vitamin B12 and Iron from the front and Omega-3 fats from the back.
