San Ignaco to San Juan de la Pilas

Anyone have info on whether the road is open to San Juan de la Pilas from San Ignacio or from Mulege. It was reported a couple of months ago the government was going to starting work on it in March.

Here are pictures from May 2007.

What great looking country!

Is this the same as the Baja Almanac calls 'San Juan de la Pila', on the arroyo (San Pedro) that flows down from the mountain west of Mission Guadalupe past Rancho Cuarenta to the Pacific? 2009 Map 14, C-5 or 2003 Map 36, E-2

Yep, that's the one, DK. One of the most scenic drives in Baja (when it's open).
