Vizcaino to Asuncion turnoff POTHOLE part being repaired.

A couple days ago we had the extreme displeasure of having to drive to the dentist for Juan's root canal in GN...and we are always in a rather foul mood after zigzaggin trying to dodge craters at 5 miles an hour for nearly an hour....I always say I am DONE driving this road till they fix it...which seemed like it may be never.

But Juan had to go back in to Vizcaino yesterday for a car part and reports that they now have much of the potholed part torn up so it is dirt once again....woo hooo...this most likely means they are finally fixing it!!! I have to back in in a couple days and will take some photos.

Tell Juan that I had to have a root canal done with the Novocaine injection after they drilled the tooth!
They tried numbing with regular shots, but I was in major pain and they would not work...so they had to drill the center of the tooth, and then inject the tooth nerve from the top in.

I was in so much pain, that I did not care anymore...drill baby, drill.

That's what we love about Shari, she is such an optimist! A little dirt being moved around and she thinks that they will be building a 4 lane highway!

Timo...Juan thought he was only going for a filling...but yeah, he really gets his thong in a knot about the dentist...hahahaha

you got me pegged wrong Howard....oh yes I'm definitely a glass half full kind of gal all right...but I love the fact Asuncion is one of those hard to get to kind of places...but also appreciate the need for a decent 2 lane paved road for the good of the villagers (and my car) and businesses here. I feel so sorry for the folks who have to drive that road on a regular basis like the Sabritas, Bimbo and Cooperativa truck drivers.

I like those potholes. Every one. They made us slow down and take in the beauty in the space beyond the road.

Woody needs to sit in for Stan! He loved the Fiestas! Includes Bikini Contest? I hope George is attending and others so there could be a Norte contingency. Wildcoast sponsors? If you try to Party with Shari and locals, be ready! To Hell with those potholes. Tio

calmate...we drove it yesterday...they are making a lot of progress....BUT there is a lot of pot holed road to repair. They are working the section closest to Vizcaino. Regardless, we were pleased to see them out there.

Can I get an update on that project? Heading to Tortugas first week of August. I would like to run in the dark, but that section requires me to drive it in the day light.
