Puerto la Salina
Anybody know if they have limited hours of operation? Heading down Wednesday and thought we'd fish that stretch of coast for kicks and the fact that
there's a ramp. I called the # listed and looked at thier web-site but nothing posted addressing that.

Be careful if the swell is high, its very rough to get out a and many people have drowned.

I've noticed that the swell can be high when I've driven by.... I'm used to beach launching and the forecast doesn't indicate much swell coming thru.
Thanks for the heads up, though.
That website is great and we'll probably have something to eat and drink at the end of the day but it doesn't say anything about ramp hours or cost.
Guess we'll figure it out about 5 in the morning Wednesday.

Puerto SalinaStatus
Does anyone know the stauts of this project? Is the marina finisehd still being used? Does it continuously fill up with sand like some people
predicted?
Is the developer still building the residential section? Are lots still for sale? Is the beach club, sports club, etc. ever going to be done? THe
project sounds fantatic if they can complete it, but there has not been much movement that I can see.

Last I heard
I think it was $15.00 to use the ramp and the ticket is good for 2 days. Launch Saturday and come back in Sunday I believe is what they had in mind.
I am pretty sure they have limited hours of operation but the guys that launched there regularly both drowned right outside of there so we can't ask
them!
It can be quite dangerous with the waves and currents. Great break on the south side jetty but private.
There are about 20 boats in the marina and more all the time. At this time of year, the sand usually heads west so I doubt that they are having
problems getting in or out right now. I also have only heard of one time where it got shallow.
And as far as movement, this is Mexico. They are moving like lightning as far as progress goes in some parts
I also understand that they have some pretty good prices on slips at this time although only a rumor.
There are some on here that know about the lots and development so I'm sure they will offer their knowledge.
