Simple Life...Simple Pleasures

Life in Baja changes one's perspective entirely. Most of us live much more simply than we would NOB and have come to appreciate different things....simpler pleasures.

I find it fascinating to discover every day what turns my crank and it's different every day...it may be eating the perfect, sweet, juicy mango...or seeing the perfect set of waves come in...or finding a unique sand dollar on the beach...or making friends with the lizard on your patio. Inhaling the magical essence of my gardenias nearly lifts me off the ground.

This is what took my breath away yesterday and made me run for my camera to capture the beauty of the day! So a simple task like watering the garden can bring on a bout of ecstasy...ahhh baja.

What beauteous things turn your crank today amigos?

Incredible!!! I don't believe I have EVER seen one like that. Really beautiful (and I like the rock-work, too) :tumble:

I think it has more to do with one's perspective rather than locale. But yes, beautiful flowers...

Beyond beautiful Shari. I love the flowering cactus and of course your thoughts posted.
I read the post, went out on my terrace to contemplate the beauty of my oh so simple life and there sitting on a twig, not even a foot away watching me was a tiny hummingbird. We made eye contact and sat together for a too brief moment and he was off. Good enough for me, that is all it takes to make my day.

Wonderful shots Woody. Pobre grasshopper, happy cats, cycle of life.
Yep, I am in and out of Nomads when I am home, I tune in more when I am in Mainland and need a Baja fix.
Meanwhile, today's simple pleasure, so far a dawn bicycle ride with my granddaughter up the hill to no-where. Nice and cool, no sweat kind of moment is a blessing at this time of year.
A little painting and a cup of coffee.
A brown rice tortilla with goat cheese and avocado.
Ah yes, simple mind, simple pleasures, that's me.

It's a beautiful morning in the mountains. Here are wildflowers in the Salmon Berries, and Patio Tomatos growing like weeds. Yes, this spins my crank! Good morning everyone!
