Real Inn, Mexicali

On our last night in Baja we were feeling scuzzy after a week of camp showers and wanted an up-scale hotel so we tried the Real Inn. Room for two was $99 total which included two welcome c-cktails and a pretty good buffet breakfast with a cook at the omelette station.
Nice big pool and the entire hotel was A/C'd. Cosmopolitan feel, lots of cars in the parking lot with DF plates, clientel middle-to-upper class. Not too many Americans.
We were both way under-dressed in shorts and tee shirts so changed to pants and a dress before going to dinner. Meal for two, with bottle of wine, was about $55 and while not up to Jardines' level, still pretty good.
For comparison, this level of property would run around $175/night in SoCal and the meal about $80-$100.
