Last we heard was that our Champaigne Mango tree was all but bare a week ago. The lMulege locals have stripped it clean... Of course we never seem to be there when they are ready...
I don't know the mango lady, so where or who is she.. we thought we knew most of the locals with goodies...
At least the oranges, grapefruit and limes will be ready when we arrive..

Down past SAUL's

On the right side going toward el sombrerito. She has an orchard, probably an hecataria or two in size. The gente know her. She used to prepare ATE de MANGO in a huge cauldron. No sign.

They're rotting on the ground down here. Good for the taking. Hwy stands selling Mangoes are all over. They freeze really well ( pieces) for Mango Margaritas in November, sino?! I'll send some ACV, DE. Weather is warm and nice here in BCS; come on down. :bounce: Tio

Hoy: Mango dulce de una mujer en Mulegé.

If you have to ask three people where to buy it; if the lady has to go to a shed behind her house to get it; and if she sells it in a plastic bag with one of those special knots that once undone can never be exactly duplicated, then chances are you are buying the authentic "good stuff."

Local knowledge. Gotta love it. Thank you for inspiring today's adventure, David.
