Your USED Baja Almanac is worth about $100
Source: Baja Almanac - 2003 Printing
The "Perfect Companion for Traveling the Peninsula" is a map-guidebook of detailed topographic maps of the Baja Peninsula of Mexico bound in a
paperback atlas. The Baja Almanac is the definitive resource for recreational activities including fishing, off-roading, dirt biking, island hopping,
camping, kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, boardsailing, beachcombing, backpacking, hiking, nature viewing, real estate, exploring, collecting rocks
and minerals and more. Also includes gas stations, hospitals, lighthouses, churches. Shows populated areas, highways and mileage charts, elevations
and other features. Landforms (sand dunes, arroyos, mesas, points), populated areas and bodies of water are also indexed by state: Baja California
(Norte) and Baja California Sur. Overview map of the peninsula provides a grid overlay for locating page numbers. Scale approximately 1:250,000.

Only if there are wet Pacifico bottle marks on the pages.

I've got the big spiral bound copy that preceded the one you show. To me, its priceless.
Forget about the danger and think of the fun.

All are great... the older ones are bigger scale and more detail than the newer (2009) one.

The "used books" prices on Amazon can be absurd. Fishing prices.
Be careful what you pay without doing thorough research elsewhere.
Used booksellers will happily enter negotiations on prices.

Baja books and maps are a treasure... Just when I thought I was done collecting, I ordered another book. LOL
Now, one collection I am far from complete with is the Dawson Baja California Traveler Series... I have been blessed to acquire this many... but the
entire set is still desired! The Railroads book became one in the series, but I have the original version, placed next to my Dawson books (whose
spines were printed in reverse from other books).

Yep! I had an original that someone "borrowed" never to be seen again. I missed it so jumped on the new one when it came out but still like the older
model. We did take a couple of the AAA maps of Baja Norte/Sur and mate them up for a door sized road map.

It *never* pays to loan out something that you will one day want back.
