Hotel - CSL - recommendations / ideas

Hola All, Next month I will be driving down from Pescadero/Todos Santos to CSL to fish for a couple of days with my son. Normally I stay at the Mar De Cortez. Forgot they are closed the whole month of Sept. Any ideas or recommendations on lodging for a few nights.
Thanks in advance, Brian

My family has had good experience at Casa Dorado. Reasonable price, nice clean rooms, good location. Beware of timeshare pitch. A simple not interested will keep them away.

Brian - for a similar but 'kicked-up-a-notch' experience try Milagros around the corner from MDC www.losmilagros.com.mx .. Sandra has a lovely place there .. most expensive unit is USD $125 .. each unit is like an apartment w/various amenities .. Also Siesta Suites http://www.cabosiestasuites.com/.. hope this helps. If we can be of additional assistance .. plz don't hesitate .. LG

www.losmilagros.com.mx

Cabo I will 2nd that,, we stayed there also, and thought it was great, close to every thing, we are not 5 star hotel people at all

clean, and very nice,, the only down side that we found is it is street parking only,, but we didn't have any issues

Sorry to say, but we found the guy in charge at Milagros to be a tad weird. My wife called him a stalker.

As for Casa Dorado, their rooms start around $200 a night.

I would recommend the Hotel Santa Fe, which is owned by the Villa Group, that operates a bunch of high end time shares. A room with two queens is $60. And they lots of amenities.

Hotel Santa Fe is not in walking distance .. it was built for workers of hotel (forget which) and they were shuttled to/fro ..

When someone is accustomed to MDC, think the proximity to everything is part of the consideration equation ..

Richard at Los Milagros is nice but different (shy perhaps) but Sandra is lovely. Stalker? nah ... that's kind of a weird comment.

and desertcpl they <used to> have a private lot just for their guests .. parking is such a big deal in CSL .. that's why being walking distance to most is nice ..

bottom line you do have a few choices. Hope this helps you elskel

Another vote for the Milagros. Great people, nice rooms, small pool and a new garden area. Some of the rooms have have kitchenettes. Gated off street parking. Milagros is hard to beat.
