Breaking news?
http://www.google.com.mx/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=...
I just learned that August 31st is INTERNATIONAL bacon day and that one of the "treats" that is being offered at the San Diego event is bacon flavored
vodka. Yuk!
So I'm wondering if Día del tocino INTERNACIONAL in TJ will feature tocino flavored tequila? Yuk X 2!

So icky to me that bacon seems to be some new 'in' food. Like wow, we have discovered this exciting new food and must have it ruin all existing
forms of food life by putting it in everything. Too much of a good thing is rarely a good thing.
It just feels so dissrespectful of bacon. Bacon holds high honors in my world. I am fortunate that my Jewish mother grew up in Southern California
on a farm nextdoor to a farming family from Georgia; my grandparents practiced Kosher cooking out of a lifelong norm from Europe, but they did not
deny my mom's enjoying of the ham, bacon, sausage, pork chops served up to the kids in the kitchen next door.
(I have a had a few glasses of wine and hope I have not misinterpreted what this posting was about...I have no personal feelings about Tequila, just
standing up for dear bacon)

Great porker t-shirt. Earlier today I was looking at a deli's website and the owner was wearing a t-shirt on which was written BODY BY PASTRAMI. (-:

bacon (and sausage, for THAT matter!) are the foods of the gods as far as breakfast around a campsite goes! is there any better way to wake up at the
beach than to the smell of pork products wafting on the breeze? i think NOT!!!!

I look and talk about "it" ..... more than I eat it anymore
Even with all the "negatives" .... it still tastes good and cooking "it" up in the morning, while camping out ... even better

I'd add one other thing to that campfire breakfast: Hashbrowns cooked in the bacon fat.
