I've found that Jeopardy appeals to the sheltered intellectual, and although the contestants appeared hesitant to approach the Baja questions, the
answers were not as tough as I thought they would be.

I saw it. The desert plant was Aloe Vera. Final Jeopardy Question: Name the monkey that hangs from the house that is on the way to La Bufadora.
