429 in 6 years reported. in baja. that is like 70 a year reported. sounds like quite a few in baja. so i guess yes it is a serious question.

AGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
TIJUANA!
NEXT IT WILL BE MALIBU OR ROLLING HILLS ESTATES!
Lock your doors and windows! Absolutely unconscionable for a city of only (how many?) millions.
Now they arrest the police. Years ago, the cops used to "not show up for work ever again" if someone dropped the dime on them. They'd move to another
state.
But these fine figures of morality continue to get cash subsidies and physical support from those poor innocent "recreational" drug users who insist
on "Cheap Drugs At Any Price".

It appears that Phoenix, Az is second only to Mexico City as the kidnapping capital of the planet.

And so is this.http://www.borderlandbeat.com/2013/04/is-tijuana-heating-up-again-at-least-23.html
Seems like this whole war is beginning to start all over again. The '' Baja is safe groups '' need to do some soul searching and maybe not misinform
people. Sure like they say
" every big city has its problems " but what gets me is the corruption, the dead bodies stacking up and now the Tijuana Police Chief is saying that
these homicides wont and are not being investigated because they dont have resources and the dead are more than likely " low lifes ".

...Tijuana isn't a part of the baja I know
...it's just an unfortunate mess-just like driving through El-lay,,,and all the development down the coast,,,and the US border on the way home
,,,all worth it for the time spent in -real- baja!!

I don't know about that, micah, we'll be there later this week for the tequila expo in front of the Frontón Palacio (the Jai Alai arena).

We went to Tlaxcala, it is very close to Puebla.
It is the smallest state in Mexico.
The ruins there are different from any other ruins we saw ... They have the rooms where animals were kept, they have rooms where meals were had, and
they have an amazing painting that is in great shape - it is a painting of warriors. I can post some photos if anyone is interested.
