Yeah, don't drive on the beach would be a starter.

Tempting as it is (most of us have done it, maybe), the salt spray wrecks stuff (even just the salty sand....don't need to be driving in ant depth of water for that), there are such soft spots and quicksand patches (caught in q'sand w/ moto....no fun)....

i've got the same truck and it makes me ill watching the video. i've been close to the same fate once north of Bocana.....

idoubt insurance would pay for it. he wasn't on a commonly used road, i.e. getting swallowed by the sea is one of the exclusions of coverage.

we try to only keep one each time.



did someone say world record? 29" and at LEAST 12#'s. we ate it that night and made a soup with the carcass a couple of nights later that fed 6 people.

That is a cool video. I wonder what those guys were going to do with all those fish...C&R is pretty pointless when you stick your hands up inside the fish's gills.

I'm with Woody, I keep only enough to eat that day. If I do C&R I try to not lift the fish out of water, just pop the hook out.

This video was posted here before and one of the guys in it joined Nomad and talked with us about it... Great work, and great attitude considering what it cost them. If only they knew about deflating tires for sand (or staying above the high tide line)!
