Availability of Gas in BCN & BCS

Heading down to Baja on motorcycles early next year for the 1st time. Am looking for information on availability of gas along highway 1. I understand that there is at least one 200+ mile stretch in which gas availability is unpredictable. Anyone have more detail about the availability of gas between Ensenada and La Paz?
Thanks, Will Pizz

there is gas from barrels at Catavina and the turnoff to LA Bay so no worries.

No problem.

Lots and lots of motorcycles traveling down here these last several years.

El Rosario to Guerrero Negro is the only long stretch left without a real gas station. Just be sure to fill up in El Rosario and if you are worried even a little about your fuel mileage buy a gallon from one of the gasolineros in Catavina. They get their fuel in El Rosario as well.

As stated above the "Baja Gas Gap" is about 225 miles. I made a little map http://goo.gl/maps/fT9El
Other than that, unless your bike is a real hog you should be fine.
I don't think there is gas to be found along the road from San Jose del Cabo to La Ribera either, but that's off the beaten track a bit http://goo.gl/maps/KYfNC
