Yeah, saw this on my news homepage this morning.

I'm betting they had no idea what was on board.

Makes you wonder how many vehicles like this are driving around worldwide, easy targets for a terrorist?

Having said that, I think this story is just hyping the fear factor to sell advertising.

I mean, how many dirty bombs have been used by the bad guys?

UPDATE

It was found and sent to the proper facility. Or at least that is what was announced on the new station at about 5pm MST today

A material of this degree of danger being transported unescorted through polulated areas is a cause for concern. Is this type of non regulated transport a common occurance in mexico and other countries. With the potential for a dirty bomb being only one aspect of danger. what about a accident causing damage to it's contents.

According to the reports, the shipper was in violation by not having GPS tracking on the truck/cargo and by not having security of/on the transport vehicle
