A little rain

I went outside to show the threat of rain this morning and noticed a puddle on the boathouse roof. Slept right thru the good stuff.
My rain gauge only shows .02" but a friends shows over an inch.

We had rain last night in Lopez and it sure looks like more in a little while. Really dark out there.

Rained here throughout the night and doesn't look ready to quit quite yet. It's been a "garden friendly" rain, so all is good.

Love the old sled, Russ. It reminds me of my "Flexible Flier", zooming down the hills in Connecticut. Pure Christmas stuff!

Geeze, all it's doing is getting colder here. Maaaaybee rain on Sat for us. Chances are oscillating between 20 and 80 percent last couple of days, but it has gotten a lot colder. [ Ventura Area]

Flexie's DO have wheels, use to ride them all the time as a kid before they were outlawed. Dangerous but so much FUN!

Had to paint it or it was going to crumble away. It's 30 years old. And I don't think it's lived a day indoors.

Had the one with wheels too. We'd run thru the sewer network below Pasadena and San Marino to the Huntington Library:bounce:

Not to change the subject. But I have to stand corrected. I miss read the weather station at 4:45am. It was the year to date that I was looking at 1.92 inchs. And Mr Russ was correct. I was .03 for the night. And now Back to the Sled ride. I had one and I did put wheels on it down the hills of Ventura I went. Russ has a classic. And if it snows in PC, I'll see if he will let me pull him around with the RZR.

very cool, Russ! 30 years and still lookin good!

Yeah, flexy's were definitely a lot of white knuckle fun back in the day, especially when I was on the back as my older brothers were driving! SCARY, but giggling all the way! We loved our flexy, rode the heck out of it until one day it just disappeared, we were told it was "just missing, it probably got stolen", but I'm sure my parents took it to the dump! Flexy's were a parent's nightmare!

BTW Russ, you take nice photos, I really enjoy them!

Wish I were in Baja right now, and I wish I had a sled too! It is snowing here in the Northern CA foothills. Temperature is 30 degrees. Last night it got down to 18. (Right! That's Fahrenheit). It is supposed to get down to 11 tomorrow night. They are even saying is may snow in Sacramento. These nighttime temps are colder than I can ever remember. If I can get my front door open later, I will snowshoe to town and have a Toddy or three. Brrrr! Waaaaah!

Snowing over on this side and even colder here in the high desert! It is beautiful, however. We had to rush home yesterday from Carson City before the storm hit. Fun time in the parking lot of the hotel as the owner tried to hose off the snow from the last storm --- he was hosing it off when the temperature was in the teens and never reached higher than the low 20s that day. Glad we have the Subaru.

Russ, how is it today down your way!

Just be glad you're not further north

Montana is in the middle of a frigid blast of cold air, which rivals temperatures at the South Pole.

On Friday, Great Falls dropped to -26° around 6 a.m., setting a new record low for December 6. Today Billings and Cut Bank both had lows of -29°.
