221# YFT

my buddy Kevin M on the Excel 16 day Pelagic trip. today he joined the Cow Club with a 221# fish. they return in a week and to say he is stoked doesn't even begin to describe it.

good job buddy!

Fairly skinny fish - Looks like it could carry another 50 lbs with no problem!

Looks like 2 to 3X more than you'll ever eat and two years from now when you find some of it at the bottom of the freezer even the dog won't eat it.

Wahoo on a bed of polenta with red peppers, mushrooms and basil from the garden. Kale and shredded broccoli and brussel sprout salad.

oh, and Buttons! my first time to Oahu (winter 1983) i was out surfing Pupukea and the wave of my trip came right to me. i was stoked and paddled right into it when about 20 feet down the line i look up and Buttons looks me square in the eye and sez, "going right brah!" i pulled back and he went. i've always had a special place in my heart for the guy who burned me on the wave of the trip!

RIP, brah!
