Is "Backroads Baja" out of print ?

Planning our second trip to BCS. We will have a pair of stock 4x4's and enjoy the feeling of exploration.

I have the Baja Almanac (2009) and the Baja Adventure Book (2006) I have seen references in several trip reports to the book "Backroads Baja". Looking on Amazon, I see prices from, .53 to 153.00 !!

Is the 1996 edition the most current addition "Backroads Baja" ?
Any recomendarions on other publications to assist in planning interesting routes ?

It is 'Backroad Baja'... Published by Sunbelt... should be plenty around, see Baja Judy's at http://bajabooksandmaps.com or Sunbelt, in El Cajon, CA.

Also, Discover Baja Travel Club in San Diego has them...

Yes, 1996 is the only edition I have seen... The authors live in Mulege.

The book only covers central Baja San Borja to Agua Verde, but it is a gem!

Jim Hunter's book is a lot more dated (1977), but awesome in its details (like Backroad Baja)!

Go thru the Baja Trip Reports. That may give you some ideals on where to go and things to do.

Just saw this thread.
"Baja Backroads" is out of print. We don't have any. La Tienda in Mulege may have a copy.

Okay, since Judy is out, I looked at Discover Baja, and they show them in stock, $10.80 for non-members (yes, they sell books to everyone and members just get a discount).

Their 2013 books and maps: http://www.discoverbaja.com/pdf/GiftForm2009.pdf

Perhaps call before driving there or emailing an order?
