Where and how to rent car in Tijuana

OK so to add another post on my trip, does anyone have advice on renting a car in Tijuana for a couple weeks? I'm going to BoLA. I could rent in San Diego but it's a bit pricey. I am Canadian but I doubt that would make a difference. Or if anyone is heading south in the next couple days and could use some gas money let me know! Thanks.

If you want an automatic transmission, you'll need to say so when you reserve. Default is manual (though not as bad as in France).

Rent from the Tijuana airport. Less than $100 per week for a compact. All of the standard companies are there, hertz, thrifty, dollar, budget and you can reserve online.
