Can we get Parnelli Jones to race it? Is Olympia Beer still made?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Looks like a short wheel base off-road 4x4 should.

Yeah, David -

That's what I thought too - a 60's IH Scout! Retro cornbinder! My brother rolled one of those - lucky he lived!

I liked the orig. Bronco's a lot better. To bad they didn't replicate that a little better. Maybe it's better in person.

Is it just me, or does the grill look like a Wallace and Gromit character?

Oly is still made, but made somewhere else without the 'water'. They could still sponsor the new Bronco.

That would be great if Ford offered this new SUV with what appears good capability. With the Toyota's FJ Cruiser is no longer going to be produced, that leaves the Pathfinder and XTerra, Land Rover and the Subaru wagons as the only alternatives to a Jeep Wrangler with automatic swaybar disconnects, 32" BFG/MTs, selectable electric locking differentials and a removable top.

I've been reading that Nissan will no longer make the Xterra after the 2015 model. But it's not from Nissan so who knows.

The XTerra is out... but the FJ Cruiser is still here (for 2014 anyway). Jeep/Fiat is considering a mini Jeep again... about the size of a CJ-2A... It will be like a Mini Cooper size Jeep. I hope they call it a 'Willys'!!!

We love our Subaru and it works so well on ice, snow, sand, silt, washboard, etc., but the clearance is just not what we like.

Wish they would build this Bronco --- I know we would take a very serious look at it! And I believe there would be a market for it.

We would also keep our Subaru, probably.

Toyota’s answer to the Jeep Wrangler has never garnered the mainstream appeal Toyota sought, but it boasts strong safety and reliability ratings, and timeless, rugged looks.

The biggest problem with the FJ Cruiser is the poor visibility due to the small high windows in the rear.

I guess I'm a loser because I actually owned these now defunct autos (in sequential order):

1. Packard, 1939, straight 8 (bought in 1953 for $100)
2. Mercury, 1943 (yes '43 with no chrome, black out lights and a removable soft top (parade car?) bought for $150 in 1955
3. DeSoto Firedome, 1955 (bought in 1960 for $100 from wrecking yard to salvage hemi engine for hotrod
4. Hudson Hornet, 1949 (bought for $100 in1961for dirt track racing
5. Imperial, 1956 (bought in 1960 for about $250
6. 1951 Studebaker Champion (got free in 1960 for paying parking tickets on it, gave to brother who totaled it)
7. Plymouth Fury, 1956( bought in 1961 for ??)
8. AMC Javelin , 1967 (bought new for around $3,000)
9. Mercury Marauder, 1969 (bought new for around $3,000)
10. Oldsmobile 442, 1964 (bought in 1971 for around $3,000)

I've had approx. 100 cars but those are the only brands no longer made
