Has anyone taken a taxi from the TJ airport to Tecate, specifically Rancho Vernonica. Thanks R

For those curious where Veronica is... about 40 miles away from the airport...

Tijuana Airport is in the upper left of the map, and Rancho (Hacienda Santa Veronica) Veronica in the lower right... about 20 road miles beyond Tecate

I'm sure they would, but it might be expensive. The minimum to take a taxi from the airport is around $20. It might be less expensive to transfer to a taxi economico or libre at the Otay border crossing.

If you're on a budget there are buses that go to Tecate from the old bus station at 1st and Madero in Centro. Also I would imagine there are colectivo/ruta taxis and/or small buses at the Otay or SY crossings that go to Tecate.

I plan on flying into TJ from Cabo or La Paz and picking up a vehicle which I will have left at Rancho Veronica. I figured it would be about $100.00 dollars but there may be a few people with me to spilt the bill. Just curious if anyone has done it. I know we could catch a bus to Tecate then a taxi out to the Ranch. Thanks for any info. R…

Why not ask the ranch to pick you up?

As I remember, you pay/get a Taxi ticket inside the TJ
airport, as you well know the Airport Taxi's are separate
from the street Taxi's, the Airport Taxi's are the only way
out of the TJ Airport, I have walked out though. I think
your estimate is close, might get by at $80, I would not
count on getting extra passengers to share it to Tecate, possible though.

If it were me, although
taking more time, I might Taxi to the Central Bus Station,
maybe 4 mi. from the Airport, bus to Tecate, $10 or so,
probably every 1/2 hr

Thanks for the info. The extra people will be friends of mine. We are planning on riding motorcycles south leaving them at my house on the east cape and flying north to pick up the vehicles, then heading back into the states. David, the idea of asking the hacienda is a good thought I will give it a try.
