ULSD

Apparently only in Baja (norte).

Pemex at Jesus Maria has been reported to have ULSD, nothing further south.

Correct it is ULTRA LOW in Baja Norte and just normal LOW in Baja Sur.

Nomads with new diesels we read here have no problems.. See posts by 'Bob & Susan' for one example.

Stay away from getting diesel in Jesus Maria and in Guerro Negro. I have had bad experience with both of them having a lot of water in the fuel. Fuel up in El Rosario and then again in Vizcaino if you have too.

My truck (2011) requires ULSD and I don't fill up any further south than Jesus Maria, If you want to take a chance with your diesel, go right ahead.

In Guerro I had a little problem and it was taken care of in 30 minutes? I filled up during a 4 day rainy period. As for Jesus Maria I have filled many times and even during rainy periods and have never had a problem and the amount to fill up matched the amount the computer said I used. (Good pumps)

Have him check the owners manual. If it requires ULSD, I would recommend he stay north of Guerrero Negro.....but it is his car, he can do whatever.
