QUICKEE TRIP REPORT, BCN


This past weekend we needed to make an emergency trip to GN to visit with our local INM office.

I wanted to post that the toll-road road closure from La Mision to just north of Ensenada (El Sauzal), added about 40 minutes to the drive because of it being mostly mountainous terrain, lack of passing zones to get around trucks and buses. It is, however, a very scenic drive, and Mextrans repaved the pot-holed areas really nice.

Additionally, the bridge work in the Santo Thomas valley is almost completed...probably another 5-6 weeks for completion.

There is a NEW military checkpoint just south of Maneadero (South Ensenada area). They are a low key group of soldiers and minimal slowing can be expected.
