I saw cars inside the wall and parked in front of the hotel rooms. Restaurant sign say's "serving light menu for our local friends".

Had brunch there Last Sunday. Good but not great. Worth the $$$. Roast beef fair, pork verde awesome. 2 bloody Mary's all for 11 usd

Got raped at the tijuana customs. 250 dollars for a water pump, kitchen hood and old donated dental compressor. They would not accept my Paypal receipts. Went for Amazon full price off their smart phones. flockers! About ready to call Mexico quits.

Circumstances force all of us to be creative with our packing methods.
It's a good thing that you do,CF, but FYI........they, customs, will sometimes strongly object to our efforts to help the needy down here. They see it as arrogance when we point out that there are some who need help. It's best not mentioned at the border.

Just to close this out, yes, the hotel and bar/restaurant is open. There are two seperate La Fonda's now, each with a bar and rooms. Clear as mud? One has 34 rooms and the other 3 rooms. A wood fence separates the two facilities.

Thank you Dennis. I had the same ideas but never expressed them quite that way but oh how true. You are truly a master of the written word and articulation.

Wow you sound like a great dentist. Don't quit on the people they need you. Next time grab a brunch for $150 pesos and Punto Morro just before you drive into Ensenada proper. The ambience and the food is excellent and worth every penny of this delicious and well presented buffet. About the same price in USD. I have a dentist friend that could store your equip in La Mision or find you something cheap so you don't have to bring it over the border next time. I don't understand why they would charge you that much for those items. You could get all of that in Mex for less than $100.

Yes Woody that view is classic and probably the nicest beach on that stretch or anywhere in the world for that matter.
