Today's Photo - A Waterbed in Baja

When was the last time you slept in a waterbed? Shades of the 70's!

Way, way back in the day in Baja we made a lot of our own furniture at my home in Conception Bay. Had to...There just weren't any Ethan Allen furniture shops around.

My old flying buddy, Dusty, was visiting with his gal and one day over some beers, said he missed his waterbed back home.

Carumba! Sounds like a project!

So...it was 'do-it-yourself' time again and we quickly constructed a double waterbed from some planks and material from an old patched-up raft. Filled it with a couple hundred gallons of water from the Posada water truck. And by nightfall Dusty and girlfriend were in business...

Until I heard a shout, "Man Overboard!" the next morning. I quickly assessed the situation and managed to throw a couple life vests to the victims before they went down...

Next time we'll use a giant water balloon, maybe?

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.
