C-130s
Hello,
Couple of C-130s flew by low level this afternoon. Hubs served two tours on them in the 60's so it was quite an exciting and memory invoking moment
to see the big beauties flying o'er head.
Anyone know why they were here?
Don't matter to us, just curious.

A large military transport passed over Bahia Asuncion this afternoon an hour and a half before dark heading WNW and too high to be searching. This is
the first time in three months here that I've seen a plane. A very large very high aircraft left a contrail on the same heading a month ago.

Could the C-130s be searching for more idiots that maybe ran out of ice and have a sunburn on their new baby while they all paddeled a kayak to
Samoa??

C-130's in Mexico
The Mexican Air Force does operate C-130 aircraft, and the Mexican Navy operate several CASA 295-M aircraft which look similar to the C-130 but are
two engine and manufactured in Spain

Good poke, Floatflyer...
I've been watching the turbulence over the round-the-world sailing couple who called for and received help from the US Navy. They had a sick baby,
another 3 yr old..plus a boat failure...west of Mexico while trying to cross the Pacific Ocean. 5 US sailors parachuted down from the relief plane to
rescue them and treat the infant. The couple said they had 'planned as good as possible'. Maybe not. Candidates for the Dumb and Dumber Award?
P.S. There's a nice 36' sailboat drifting out there about 900 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas.

Thanks bajaguy, did not get all that info. Scuttling was probably best thing to do and most likely mandatory...hazard to navigation, etc.
Love the Coasties and the help & protection they give on our borders. They helped to find this Goony Bird Up North.

I think they've been awarded a government stupid-grant already. (tongue thoroughly in cheek)
