pics of Santa Rosalia Off Road race

Yesterdays Off Road Race at Santa Rosalia, the Santa Maria 100. The course was 50% moon dust, 2 ft deep, and the rest was rocky and bumpy. Luckily for us drivers, there was a breeze, so the dust blew away quickly. There were plenty of times where the car and your helmet filled with dust and you were doing 60mph, basically blind. A great crowd and great people. Thanks to Mulege in Motion Off Road AC for your support.

I took first Place in Class 9

John D, from Punta Chivato raced in Class 7 , V8 Trucks, on his Artic Cat UTV. He started last and by the first lap had passed 6 trucks and by the second lap had passed 4 more to be in 3rd position and first place in elapsed time. On the 3rd lap, he had to drop out due to mechanical failure.

Alright!

Congrats on the race, good photos again.

Moon dust = Silt beds = Clogged filters + tough visibility

On the bright side, it makes for a soft landing if you're on a moto.....
