Rancho Cielito Lindo SQ
Would anyone happen to have any updates on this place in SQ?..
Hotel part still operational?
Killer margaritas still there?....crab dinners?
I don't see much chatter about it anymore and the website is useless.

I was there two months ago. Just for one night in the truck camper. In late afternoon, out early the next morning. It looked to be the same old place.
Don't know about the crab dinners.

We havent been there in forever ... It would be good to know if their issues with bad mattresses have been handled.
Those margaritas were so good!

Stone Crab dinner
DaliDali,
We used to frequent Cielito Lindo as well back in the late 80's for the margis and the Paprika Crab. Over the years it just got seedy and we stopped
going.
If you're after a crab meal both Jardines and Molino Viejo serve a pretty good version. I had it at Jardines this year.

Long gone are the fun days with Dave and Juanita at the helm... and their follow-up business Gypsy's RV Park and the Wet Buzzard Bar... also long
gone.
They used to have a forum called Baja Si. Things just don't go on forever...
Look for posts by 'Porky Pig'... last one on Cielito Lindo was 10 months ago: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=61803

I remember it being Controy or Triple Sec, the juice from 3 squeezed limones and the tequila...in a huge glass.
Two of them left me with a warm fuzzy feeling all over!!

Had the cracked crab twice (2001, 2005)... the second time to make sure it was really as bad as I had remembered... bloody fingers and paprika...
never again!
Margaritas way strong... and then Bedman (Steve) had his own version to really knock me out! Fun times... I think??? LOL

Stopped by this spring after our La Paz clinic. Happy Hour is from 4 to 5 PM - 2 for the price of 1. Helluva deal, especially for the Margie's.
Camped overnight in my (new to me) Alaskan camper so I don't have any info on the rooms, beds, or showers (as I remember the shower water is brackish,
so it's hard to feel clean after showering). Happy trails.
Two dirt roads diverged in Baja and I, I took the one less graveled by......
