That only works if you do it in a timely manner, but even then it is iffy in a jeep.

Remember the guy that got his Tundra stuck somewhere around Bahia Asuncion and the ocean water flooded it. They had a Mexican mechanic get it going and he drove it back to the states. There is a video of it here somewhere.
