That only works if you do it in a timely manner, but even then it is iffy in a jeep.

The salt water toasted all the wiring and the water also went into the engine block...
No way the jeep will be driven again.

Remember the guy that got his Tundra stuck somewhere around Bahia Asuncion and the ocean water flooded it. They had a Mexican mechanic get it going
and he drove it back to the states. There is a video of it here somewhere.
